There were originally four towers connected to the Alcazar and three of these can still be seen today, the fourth was destroyed in the 19th century. A wander through the Jewish quarter of Cordoba will give you an idea of the surrounding some of the residents of Cordoba had in times gone by.

There is also one of the few original remaining synagogues in Spain.
