Climbing and Hiking - Granada

Based in the white village of Lanjaron in the Alpujarra region of the Sierra Nevada 25-30 minutes from Granada, these walking, hiking, and ski tours are perfectly situated to offer you the best conditions in which to experience the mountains and hills of this region. There are no minimum amounts for the groups, if you are adventuring solo, accommodations can also be made. Tours run all throughout the year, some are specific to the winter season – December until May, and the rest can be enjoyed anytime. The treks are tailor made depending if you want a full days walking or not.
The flexibility also lets you decide if you want the official guides to accompany you, or if you want to use their support before setting off yourselves. Along the way you can visit some of the famous white villages which are full of history and friendly faces as you travel along some of the highest peaks in mainland Spain.

There is also a Desert Walk available in the Almeria region in the south eastern corner of Andalucía. Introductory rock climbing sessions are also available and focus on the safety aspects and more technical side of climbing. The winter mountaineering available in the Sierra Nevada is a truly unique experience. It’s possible to find training areas in locations that don’t require too much effort to get to after leaving the vehicles.

This practise can then be taken into the more challenging settings to test the newly acquired skills. Ski Mountaineering is also an increasingly popular sport due to its appeal for all abilities. It’s aimed at complete beginners who on their first day get acquainted with the equipment, then take to the snow covered mountains on skis. All abilities and mountaineering disciplines are catered for and all aspects of safety and technical needs are covered.
