Horses - Jerez

The estate has been constructed with one thing in mind, to preserve and maintain this beautiful type of horse. The Cartusian horse has been around since the 15th century and the name was taken from the Cartusian monks that introduced them to the area. The Hierro del Bocado brand is the present day type of horse that has descended from the original, and each horse is developed with the characteristics it shows for certain aspects such as cow herding, carriage work, or classical work.

This is one of the most important reserves for thoroughbred Spanish Cartusian horses in the world, and it can only be found in Andalucía. Situated on a private estate in front of an old Monastery on the edge of Jerez.
