Flamenco Course
Seville
This
Flamenco School is located 5 minutes outside of Seville, and its
founder has been a professional part of Flamenco for over 25 years.
The school has three spacious classrooms that are used for teaching
not just Flamenco dancing, guitar, singing, and percussion, but
also oriental dance, yoga, voice training, and theatre amongst
others. The school is open to the public in the mornings and evenings,
and children are also taught from the age of three onwards. All
of the fully qualified staff teach classes for all abilities,
from the most basic for students pursuing their hobby, to those
wishing to achieve along more of a professional path.

The
types of courses on offer vary from private, intensive, workshops,
yearly courses, and general classes from October to the end of
June. The Flamenco studio focuses on helping students to create
a solid base upon which to develop in the various disciplines
of this rich and diverse art form. An environment in which study
is beneficial for the body as well as the mind is on offer, in
accordance with the ability and talent of each student.

For some background on the founder of this prestigious school,
the owner is a native of Seville and has studied with a great
number of prominent artists from the world of Flamenco such
as Felix Grande, Pedro Bacan, Curro Fernandez, Enrique Soto,
Jose Galvan, Diego Clavel, and many many more besides. Along
with a wide range of colleagues the founder has performed in
all corners of the globe beginning in Canada at the tender age
of 22 when the first company was founded to choreograph, produce
and present various concerts in conjunction with the Canada
Council, Manitoba’s Ministry of Culture and Heritage, Arts Council,
and Intercultural Council.
Some of the plaudits came in the same breath as praise for the
Winnipeg Ballet and The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Further
afield master classes and performances have been held in Switzerland,
Poland, Germany, and Russia. More recently there has been a
collaboration with the Delegación de Igualdad, Ayuntamiento
de Sevilla for the annual Formación de Formadoras en
Arte Flamenco. Students have had the honour of performing at
The Palacio de Congresos, Real Atarazanas, Casino de la Exposicion,
Centro Civico de las Sirenas, Feria de Sevilla, and many more.
