Excursions - Seville and its Surroundings
In
this section you will find some special activities and
excursions available in and around Seville. If you want
to get away from the city, or simply try something different
we hope you’ll find it here. It has activities that are
based in the city itself as well as excursions to the
surrounding villages and countryside. Sightseeing tours
with a little more interactivity are also included such
as paintball and a Spanish style BBQ for the more adventurous.
For rest and relaxation we can recommend a trip to the
local Arab Baths, or teahouse to unwind. If it’s a bit
of cultural gastronomy that you’re looking for, then why
not some of the local delicacies the region has to offer.
And to accompany the food there is also the chance to
visit the traditional wine and sherry making facilities
in the region. A lot of the picturesque surrounding villages
have their own special charm that you can also sample
in a day trip from Seville. We can always do our best
to try and make arrangements for any special requests
you may have.
Food and Drink
Sevillian Tapas
Mix with the locals and get a true feel for the Sevillian
way of life and experience some of the sociable aspects
like, eating, drinking, and talking with friends. The
unique style of tapas allows you to sample many local
delicacies in one sitting. The rich tradition of eating
tapas in a group allows for you to pick and choose as
you like. Usually eaten with a drink before going on to
a main meal, the small portions are perfect for sampling
some of the authentic Sevillian plates on offer. To accompany
those cold nights a glass of select regional wine with
your food is always an option. Equally during the balmy
summer nights, a cool refreshing, locally brewed beer
or even a Tinto de Verano (summer wine) can be the perfect
companion to some deliciously diverse gastronomic delights.
Arab tea house
One of the long standing traditions left behind by the
Moors is the traditional tea house which is on offer right
here in Seville. The soothing atmosphere, sweet delicacies,
and teas from all over the world will transport you to
a different time and place. Comfortable seats, traditional
decor, and friendly staff all help to create the right
atmosphere as you sit back and relax. There are also exhibitions,
live music, theatre, and music available throughout the
week. There are also hookah pipes to smoke with an exotic
range of flavours available to try whilst sipping on some
aromatic tea.
Tapas
and Wine
You can choose from two different routes in Seville to
sample the delicacies. There are four routes in total,
two in each of the Triana, and Central areas. On each
tour you’ll visit different tapas bars, learn how to order,
find out about the typical dishes, and toast with some
local wine. This is a perfect way to learn how to integrate
into the Sevillano lifestyle.
Paintball
and BBQ
If you’re an experienced Paintballer, or you’re new to
this exciting sport, this will leave you exhilarated.
Once the teams are selected try to get as many of your
opponents as you can in order to win. Then you will have
worked up an appetite for a BBQ, Spanish style. If you’re
looking for something a little different here in Seville,
this is definitely for you. |
